You are probably asking yourself how something as simple as the Golden Proportion has evaded you in your life until now. It’s always been there, but our schools have not made a point to teach with much enthusiasm. Never proven, never expanded, it just is, to many educators. Simplicity is the root of all knowledge as we are becoming much more aware as we venture back to growing our own vegetables and creating our own energy.
Here are some interesting facts that cannot be denied in proving the Phi of our lives that has to be more than just coincidence. Where it goes from here is endless and totally up to each individual person.
The foundation of the Fibonacci Series is simply a series of numbers that defines the ratio of the Divine Proportion. 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, 987, 1597,… These numbers may not automatically jump out at you as being in sequence but the process is simple. Take any two numbers that are side by side. Add them together. The total is always the next number.
Square phi and you will get a number that is exactly 1 greater than phi. Divide phi into the number 1 and you will get a number that is exactly 1 less than phi. Take the square of any series of Fibonacci numbers and add together and they will equal the last Fibonacci number used in the series times the next Fibonacci number. This is the basis for the Fibonacci spiral that is seen in seashells, galaxies, anything spiral.
The DNA molecule measures 34 angstroms long by 21 angstroms wide in each cycle of the double helix spiral and is based on the golden section.
In music, there are thirteen notes that make an octave of eight notes in a scale. The first, third and fifth notes are the foundation of all of the chords. Notice the numbers?
Data has been discovered that proves the golden ratio is the underlying factor of the clock cycle of brain waves.
Financial investors practice technical analysis using the golden ratio to set a price level or to set new resistance levels that are relative to the starting price of the stock. However, you will probably not find any concrete evidence to this type of trading.
