Wat Saket is located in Ratchadamnoen Klang. Many tourists visiting Bangkok have been to Wat Saket and the nearby Golden Mount, which dates back to 1800. The Golden Mount is an artificial hill, which is 260 feet in height from its base. The tourists who climb the Golden Mount have a beautiful view of the Rattanakosin Island.

In Thailand, Akha is the tribal community who live in the hills of Chiang Rai, the Northern Province. The Swing ceremony of Akha tribal community is held between mid-August and September. This ritual takes place just two months before corn and rice are ready for harvesting. Celebrating the Swing Festival is a way of saying thanks and expressing respect for food. The festival is celebrated for four days and night by dancing, singing, feasting and enjoyment.

Magha Puja Day is celebrated on a full moon day of the third lunar month which invariably falls in the last week of February or beginning of March. In general, most Buddhists are not aware of the significance of Magha Puja Day. As a result, the number of people in the ceremony may be less than those at Visakha Puja or Asanha Puja Days. However, Magha Puja Day carries an equal meaning and importance to all Buddhists.
